Thank You

This is a Thank You card that I made for our daughter-in-laws grandmother for having us to her home on Memorial Day. We had a great time with all of their family and got to spend time with David, Holly and Josh. Got lots of pictures that hopefully someday I will get onto paper and into my books.

Spring Break 2007

I know I'm way behind on getting my pages scrapped. As slow as I am with getting my pages done it will take me a hundred years. Maybe one of these days I will get caught up. LOL. This is Meghan's first trip to Florida and we all went down on her spring break. Since it was the end of March the water was rather chilly so didn't spend a lot of time walking around getting her feet wet.

Birthday Card

This card was made in a hurry as I almost missed a friends birthday and needed to get something made in a hurry. I guess what I need to do is put a reminder in my outlook program to remind me about a week before special events so that I can get cards or other projects made in time and not have to wait until the last minute.

HAPPY EASTER

Happy EASTER and may GOD bless each and everyone! Michelle, Chuck and Meghan are coming over for an early Easter dinner as Chuck has to work second shift at the hospital today, but glad that he will be able to spend sometime with us. David, Holly and Josh were not able to make it down as they are spending the day with her grandmother and we will really miss them.
I was busy last week making Meghan and Josh Easter cards and really did remember to take pictures of them before they hit the mail. Will try to post them later this afternoon when everything slows down some.

Card for a friend

I've been really busy creating but haven't taken pictures to post here. Most of the cards that have been made get mailed before I remember to take a picture.

Birthday Card

We have a friend in Florida that is celebrating her birthday this month so put together this card to get in the mail. All of the papers are CTMH and so is the Happy Birthday stamp and inks. Used white embossing around the flower and a line around the edge of white card stock. The flower is from Papertray Inks and I just love this set. They make a fantastic product that I have recently found and now own several and really looking forward to making more wonderful cards. Thank you Becky at http://hemidemisemiquaverdesignblog.com for the inspiration for this card.

At the Hockey Game

We went to a hockey game with the kids a couple weeks ago to see the Cincinnati Cyclones play. Had a great time and really enjoyed our evening with the kids. Wanted to scrap a couple pages but wanted to keep it to a simple two page layout. Didn't even put a title on these and think they turned out okay.

Creative Juices Left

Creating has not been on the top of my list lately. I'm trying to rearrange my studio to make it more workable so that I can find all of my great supplies. Then to top it all off this week our furnace went out. We're getting a new one installed today so will be nice to have a nice warm home. Plus I'm going back to school at night taking a computer course so trying to do lots of studying. Looks like the weather will be ugly this week-end so maybe I'll find the time to create something worth showing to everyone.
Hope everyone has a GREAT day and will chat with you later.

Thank You card for a friend

This is a card I made for a friend to thank her for everything she has done for me in the past few months. It was fun doing and I absolutely love using the Rubbernecker stamp on this.

Birthday Card for Michelle

Our daughter celebrated her 42nd birthday this month and decided to make her card instead of buying one. It's always so much fun to make our cards and the kids really do appreciate all of the work that goes into them. This card took a little more time trying to figure out what I wanted to do. The only thing I was sure of was the stamp set as I love working with it and knew how I wanted to fancy it up.

I think the best part of her birthday was the gift we gave her. Her grandmother gave me a locket that had a picture of her father and grandparents in it when she was little. Not only giving here the locket we got her a gold chain so that she could wear it. Hopefully she will pass it on when her daughter has her first little girl, and keep the tradition going. Oh how we do love our children.

Keepsake Box

I always try to make at least one Christmas gift for our granddaughter Meghan. This past Christmas I made a keepsake box for her and filled it with her favorite bath products. Always makes a big hit with things we know that she loves.

Thanks to Linda for the design of this beautiful box.

Christmas Card 2008

Every year I try to make our Christmas Cards that I send out to family and friends. Some years I do better than others. This past year was one of my better years and I got more made. Hopefully 2009 will be the year that everyone that we send cards to will get a homemade card.

Our trip to Daytona, FL

So far behind on my scrapbooking it isn't even funny. Started working on some of our vacation pictures to Florida in 2007. Had a lot of fun with Michelle, Chuck and Meghan, and hope to take another vacation with them soon.

These two pictures were from our trip to the Daytona International Speedway. Chuck and Meghan decided they wanted to race against each other and guess what... Meghan beat him even though she rolled her car a few times. Tom, Michelle and I laughed so hard our sides hurt.
